Toronto, June 1, 2026 – Federated Insurance Company of Canada today announced the appointment of Todd MacGillivray as President. The move supports a planned leadership transition, as current President George Halkiotis prepares to retire at the end of 2026 after a remarkable 41 years with the organization. 

MacGillivray brings more than 25 years of experience at Northbridge Insurance, a sister company of Federated, where he played a key role in growing several specialized business lines, including Transportation & Logistics, Specialty Risk, Fronting, and Technical Risk. 

In his most recent role as Senior Vice President, Specialty Lines at Northbridge, MacGillivray focused on enhancing the customer experience – delivering high-quality service and responsive support to businesses across Canada. His leadership has strengthened the capabilities customers rely on for dependable protection and long-term partnership.
